Chelsea Day School is a nursery/kindergarten for children ages 2 through 5. It was founded in 1981 by its current director, Jean Rosenberg.

The school welcomes children of all racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds. It is licensed by the Department of Health of New York City and is chartered by the New York State Department of Education and the New York City Bureau of Social Services. Chelsea Day School is a non-profit, educational corporation.
