In Italian, veloce means quick, exactly the idea behind this Chelsea wine bar that attracts the young, fashionable and hungry in need of a quick respite for vino and bites before heading out on the town. (It's the third Veloce outpost, following siblings in the East Village and Soho.) On hand is an affordable selection of wines, grappas and other elegant spirits like sake. Food is uncomplicated and served at a communal table, with choice offerings like Bresaola panini, prosciutto-topped bruschette and the Venetian's favorite sandwhich, the Tramezzini.
