Tiki bars are usually brightly-lit, tropical and kitschy. Otto's may own some cutesy mugs ($5 if you wanna keep 'em), but overall it's a dark, dank rock'n'roll bar that caters to an (ever-decreasing) NYC rock crowd. On any given night, you may stumble upon a local garage, rockabilly or punk band tearing it up in the back room...or a DJ upfront blasting out Iron Maiden and Motorhead. Although we've never tried it, amongst the many speciality cocktails at Otto's is one that involves "deep-fried bacon," served only for one thirty-minute period early Sunday mornings.
