Description:

With 20 beers on tap, high vaulted ceilings, hand-painted murals of the historic Battle of Manila Bay, and a replica of the commemorative Deweys Arch (which at one time stood on 24th and 5th Ave.), the historical ambience of the bar's main floor slowly dissolves upon reaching the mezzanine's low-lit area. Dominated by same-sex cliques of youngish New York transplants, DF has garnered a bit of a pickup joint reputation, although that may not be such a bad thingthe owner claims the bar is responsible for over 15 weddings.
