Description:

A former carriage house turned into the warmest of restaurants, upon entry your mind wanders to what it was like back then. There's no way not to be swept up by the real brick, the elegant stairwell, the skylight and windows that harken back to a New York that lives only in tattered, sepia museum pieces. You might enjoy any food served in a masterpiece like this, but you'll soon find the menu holds up its end as well. Strong dishes from every continent are available to you, including the Australian lamb in a cucumber yogurt sauce. Unfortunately, that dish is only available on Tuesdays and Sundays, but every day features something worth serving. There's a raw bar, a selection of cheeses and specials consisting of strictly NY state-hewn ingredients: now that's old old school.
