This new underground lounge in the lower level of Gramercy's swank Hotel Marcel takes its cue from the Arctic: think cool metallic chandeliers and faux-fur covered couches, plus private "Polar Caves" tucked away in the back. North Polethemed cocktails like Operation Highjump (Icelandic vodka, frozen grapes, white grape juice and pear eau de die) and Prime Meridian (gin, Morello cherry puree, St. Germain and lime) go along with a handful of small plates from the restaurant above. If the Fashion Week crowds are any indication, place'll be an icy-hot hit.
