Description:

Lovers of art can get their fix at this Upper East Side spot adorned with works by Chagall, Banksy, Lichtenstein and Marceauall acquired from the now-shuttered Chanterelle. Owner Nahid De Camillis, an artist and writer herself from Italy, views the concept as modern art meets haute cuisine. The sleek dining room is accented by all white modular seating and cool blue walls flowing into a charming outdoor patio. Ex-Piadina chef Salvatore Zapparata paints a simple Mediterranean menu with a flair for the dramaticthe pan-roasted filet of sole, for example, was inspired by Andy Warhols portrait of Marilyn Monroe and is colorfully splashed with a trio of sauces infused with white wine, red wine and basil.
