Description:

This space used to house a Brazilian restaurant that played host to regular performances of live Latin American music. The bossa nova beats have been replaced by the thumping base of Top 40 and hip hop. Hell's Kitchen has seen a number of gay bars open recently, but Flavor is definitely designed for the bros in the hood to get their mac on with local ladies. The new space removed all of the tables and replaced them with banquettes lining the walls and plenty of bar stoolslook for twentysomethings to flock here, get liquored up on vodka tonics, and flirt away. The signage outside indicates that it's a martini bar (the "V" in flavor has an olive sticking out of it). Even so, a martini will be the fanciest cocktail you'll find herethe crowd definitely isn't coming for the mixology. Stop here when you're not in the mood for a sports bar and an upscale cocktail lounge is a little too fancy for your mood.
