Refusing to change, this retro joint looks like what a lower East Side bar should.supposed to. Not trendy, flashy or overly-packed, expect a a mellow red lighting scheme, a handful of scattered tchotchkies and flickering candles, as well as an excellent bar staff who know how to mix a drink. The cool, casual crowd isn't old by any means, but in comparison with most other bars in the area whose patronage appear to have just been let loose from the fraternity house, you'll notice a distinct difference.
