An homage to "Welcome Back Kotter" character Warren Epstein and not the virus, LES enthusiasts will revel in this neighborhood bar/burger joint's bare-bones, unobtrusive vibe, especially during the warmer months when the floor-to-ceiling glass doors stay open and the sidewalk tables surface. There's one flat screen in the corner showing the game of the moment or the occasional film, but it seems that's just a courtesy, as it's not a sports fan type of joint.
