Although an ideal spot for the LES enthusiast bored with the sceney circus the 'hood has suddenly become, Iggy's (following the neighborhood's theme), is not as gritty as it once was. Once considered an authentic local dive, the weekend now brings a stream of out-of-towners, frat-types and passerby looking to swill decent beer specials in a laid-back environment. Swing by on weekdays, when the crowd is less raucous and the tatted proprietors will make you feel at home whether you're out to tear it up or wind it down. Ask the bartender to play your favorite XM channel they'll blast it when the jukebox isn't plugged.
