Ignore the name, because once you're inside you'll do no such lounging (and there are definitely no sapphires). A small room with no frills to speak of, the Sapphire is a place better heard by your ears and felt by your feet (the diverse dance floor is the prime real estate). DJs spin a nightly mix of hip-hop, reggae and R&B, and the back room hosts private parties and doubles as an art gallery. Hit up an ATM before heading inside unless you want to deal with a $30 credit card minimum with a 20 percent tip tacked on.
