Joes Pub just got a little company. Dominion, located across the street, is a similar performance venue and lounge. The intimate space promises to get you close to you favorite indie acts you can chill at one of the tables that overlooks the stage and enjoy a martini as you listen. The venue is actually much larger than it first appears, you have to make your way into the tricked-out back room (where the stage is) to get the a full idea of what youre dealing with. On busy nights, the owners can even split the space into two different rooms so expect a happening schedule of performances once the spot gets up and running. Youre also covered in the booze department, with two full bars that will keep your whistle wet during parties and performances. The theater is only the icing of the cake, a fully-equipped recording studio sits in the basement, so expect to see shows from some artists in residence who are recording in the studios below.
