A lavish, vast and, yes, literally brass-gated venue, the eagerly exclusive club The Gates gives out keys and secret cards to elite members (read: models, actors, artists, etc.) for them to gain entrance and occasoinally invite their presumably Gates-worthy friends. But if you're one of the humble laypeople who manage to gain entry to the chandelier-bedecked ballroom-style space, look for $16 specialty cocktails, bottle service and a food menu that includes lobster thermidor and a high tea sandwich made with martini-pickled cucumber, whipped mascarpone and caviar. Try not to eye-roll yourself to death.
