This 2007 UES addition plays it simple, offering a clean, classic sports bar environment (seven flat-screen plasmas pump out the action in HD, photos of Ruth and Mantle adorn the brightly colored walls) and nicely priced brews (domestic pints for $5, imports at $6). If you need a change of scenery, head out to the sizeable back porch, or get your own competition on at their beer pong table or Golden Tee machine. Bring an appetite: Bullpen features an excellent bar menu that goes a bit above typical burgers, wings and nachos (i.e. sliced steak bruschetta).
