Matt Abramcyk, the man responsible for the Beatrice Inn and Smith & Mills, has teamed up with the stylish/incendiary (and onetime Vogue intern) Sean Avery of the New York Rangers to create an upscale but unprissy sports bar. Warren 77 is a guy's guy-type tavern, turned out with handsome, dimpled green leather booths, flat-screen TVs, vintage lights and sports memorabilia, but given a vaguely old-school Ivy League dorm vibe with painted-brick walls, video games (Donkey Kong) and a toilet seat sourced from a 1920s prison. (Huh?)

The food spans the spectrum from elegant to pubby, offering a handful of snack- and entre-sized options, including a half-dozen oysters ($18), a plate of Warren wings ($12) and a strip steak ($30). Old Speckled Hen and Molson are a couple of the beer list's highlights, while the hard-stuff list is heavy on the whiskey.
