Stop, collaborate and listen! Vanilla Ice is back andhes pouring Jager shots at this new Midtown East bar, from the people behind McFaddens and Turtle Bay. Set to open this weekend, The Irish Exit fits comfortably alongside its 2nd Ave. bar neighbors--which means leave the mixology talk and hipster dress code at home. Instead, prepare for shot specials, cover girl contests, Irish happy hours (which somehow includes leprechauns, according to the bars web site) and, this weekend only, an appearance by Mr. Ice himself, who will be rapping and pouring during Saturday nights festivities (for fun, throw a shot of Jameson on him and say Ill have a whiskey on Ice. Actuallydont.). Also on tap at the Exit: Irish brunches, space for bachelor/bachelorette parties, guest bartending slots and, hey a little love from us. Finally, a new bar that doesnt romanticize bad moustaches, pre-Prohibition dress codes and $14 cocktails.
