There's a reason that Socarrat Paella Bar in Chelsea is always so crowded. Well, yes, the paella is really good and draws folks in, but the spot is so teeny that you can't help but feel like you're stuffed into a sardine can. The space, featuring many of the same menu items of the original location, features (drumroll) 60 seats! That leaves plenty of room to move those elbows around in the mad dash to stuff your face with Spanish rice. Some new dishes will make an appearance on the menu, like the vegetarian eggplant and artichoke paella, which started off as a special at the west side outpost and was promoted to a permanent option at this haunt. Even so, the menu stays basically the same, and so does the dcorthink exposed brick, lush drapes and sexy low lighting.
