Description:
This stately, British-inspired pub takes its name from Greenwich Mean Time, a standard that was used to set clocks during the British Empire. It's fitting that the bar was inspired by Europe since this area of town is heavily trafficked by tourists, so this drink spot should make the feel right at home. GMT occupies the space that formerly housed Senor Swanky'sgone are the margaritas and salsa, replaced by a solid selection of draft beer, including some from the UK like Tetley's. There are also a number of cocktails on offer; check out the GMTeatime, a mix of Absolut's Wild Tea flavor and honey water (cucumber sandwiches, anyone?). If you stop by during the day, snag one of the tables next to the windows that open onto the street. It's easy to lose track of time here, especially because the large clock that dominates the room has 24 numbers printed on it. Can't figure that one out? No worries, just have another drink.
