Run by Union Square Caf vets Michael Lagnese and Jonny Cohen, 8th Street Wine Cellar offers the pairs selection of 18 wines by the glass and 50 by the bottle. The list spans the globe, so the war between Italian and French wine lovers end here. A small plates menu has a familiar ring: tuna sandwiches, pigs in a blanket and beef carpaccio play supporting roles.
