Home to celebrity chef Bobby Flay and housed in the space of the former JUdson Grill, this eatery coined its name from an old-time term for a Parisian cafe with a full bar. Featuring nouvelle cuisine and a wonderful waitstaff, Bar Americain puts a tantalizing twist on typical Southern comfort foods such as poached eggs with Cajun hollandaise, smoked chicken pot pie with a sweet potato crust, or skate with smoked chile butter.
