If we're being honest, no one except visitors straight-off-the-tour-bus are flocking to hotels in Times Square to enjoy some after-work drinks and a snack. The Renaissance Hotel is trying to change that with their spiffed-up R Lounge. The big draw here is the menuthey've enlisted Bruce and Eric Bromberg of Blue Ribbon to come up with bar snacks that will keep the locals in this area. Look for menu items like grilled-cheese panini, sliders and fried chicken wings. The space has choice views of Times Square and plenty of seating, including chairs swathed in classy zebra patterns. If all of this isn't enough to make you hang in the heart of Midtown, then at least it's a nice place to bring your parents when they visit town.
