La Caverna is the newest and one of the most innovative additions to the nightlife on Rivington street. Owner Nick Ajdari,has been a restaurateur all of his life,operating businesses in Texas and Alaska,before coming to the lower East Side in order to introduce something new to the landscape. The sound of trickling water adds to the authenticity of the cavern theme,with two waterfalls scattered about the room. Around the edges,comfortable couches and tables await visitors to rugged,dimly lit caves.The kitchen is open from 5pm-11pm and after that the Dj continues the night with music till 4am. It is a fun and kitschy spot in lower Manhatan,offering a unique alternative to New York City's bar and restaurant scene.
