As is the case with most hotel restaurants, Fives struggles to find its own identity. As part of the charming Peninsula Hotel, the restaurant/bar offers a fairly broad menu of fine cuisine. Linen crisply adorns tables, accompanied by cushioned black armchairs and live piano music. Everything is perfectly suitable, but with such a transient clientele, you get the feeling nobody's trying too hard to please.
