Vander Bar, a new spot in Midtowns Roosevelt Hotel, lets the suits pound back the Scotches while munching on bar snacks like mini lobster rolls and beef tacos. The bar makes no secret that theyre catering to the professional crowd. One of their signature cocktails is named The Blackberry, in honor of the carpal tunnel-causing device that the drinkers here cant seem to put down. Of course these folks are also professional when it comes to imbibing, and they spiritedly consume other drinks like The Bull Moose (Patron XO Caf, lemon) at the stylish granite bar. Upstairs at the hotel is popular rooftop spot Mad 46, which has become a bit of a drinking destination for the post-labor set as well.
