Description:

There are plenty of rooftop bars in Midtown, but these digs might just be the swankiest. Thirty floors up in the air, the glamorous spot offers 360-degree views of the city skyline, with particularly good vistas of the nearby Chrysler Building. The outdoor space comes equipped with a retractable roof for rainy days, and charming glass light bulbs add some twinkle to the ambience. And what would some posh city views be without something to snack on? Chef Gwenael Le Pape is on hand with a menu of small plates like his truffled mac-and-cheese and crisp baby artichokes. The signature cocktails are a bit pricey at $18 a pop, but the cucumber-infused vodka in the Master Charles hits the spot on a balmy summer day. A few drinks here is like a taste of classic New York (or, at least what we imagine classic New York to be from vintage Woody Allen movies).
