The second floor of the sleek Cooper Square Hotel is home to its hotel bar, a floor-to-ceiling glass enclosure with elegant, minimalist furniture, books displayed on the walls and a semi-private area in the back that can hold a crowd of 10 to 15. Come spring, the windows look out on a patio filled with carefully tailored, Asian-inflected greenery. They're serving up cocktails, beers (from $6) and wines ($9) from 5 p.m. until closing, which depends upon occupancy but is never before 11 p.m.
