Another Shack attack! Fresh on the heels of the opening of a Times Square spin-off comes this Upper East Side branchthe fifth in NYCof Danny Meyer's venerable patty palace, located at an outdoor plaza along 86th Street. Like all the other Shacks, it's got the same menu of LaFrieda-stamped patties, plus hot dogs and a mushroom burger. And like all the other Shacks, it features a bunch of blended frozen custards (aka "concretes") inspired the neighborhood, and which you can only get herecheck out the Pineapple Upper East Side Cake (vanilla custard with pineapple, shortbread, caramel and cherries). Like the other Shacks, this one was built with an eye toward eco-consciousness, featuring recycled materials like benches made of wood from the Coney Island boardwalk.
