Between Covet and Intimo, we have to wonder if the next great land of uber-lounges will be the Upper East Side. (Though it's tempting, we'll refrain, for now, from heralding the next golden age of douchetastic dining). With Intimo, we get another upscale restaurant and club in one. This time, the dining room transitions from dinnertime to disco when the tablecloths come off, the lights go down, and the music is turned up. Diners can pick from a standard-ish Italian menu with both Northern and Southern offerings (from spaghetti frutta di mare to veal saltimboca), with food served till 3 a.m. on weekends. For not-so-big spenders, a daily happy hour from 5 to 8 p.m offers free nibbles, in the Italian tradition of "aperitivo hour."
