Live salsa is played every Wednesday through Sunday evening at this lively Cuban restaurant in lower Harlem, but the tables aren't always full just for the music. Some of the best cuisine from the embargoed country is served in this casual dining room of exposed brick and straw-lined bar. Go beyond the classic Cuban sandwich, fried yuca and plantains to try some of the popular seafood dishes, especially the creole- and white wine-braised shrimp.
