First up: That name. Oh, that name. It refers to those teetering 19th-century bicycles with big wheels in the front. But it now also provides catchy fodder this new East Village restaurant whose pubby menu includes items like Farthing Sliders. Farthing. Sliders. For realz: These mini cheeseburgers are just one of many items that read like a greatest hits of all-access bitesbuffalo wings, chicken quesadillas, Cajun shrimp, fish 'n' chips, four types of burgers. The drinks menu is just as extensive as the food one, with 14 bottled beers, 14 on draft, wines and specialty martinis. Sip them amid PF's gorgeously rustic space: two-levels decked out in distressed word and redbrick, and adorned with industrial bric-a-brac (pulleys, old wheels) that designer Ben Kay found in flea markets as far out as the Catskills.
