Chocolate lovers beware: Wandering around Wall St. in lower Manhattan may be hazardous to your health. Or at the very least, your wallet. Located on alley-sized New St. near the Stock Exchange, this factory and storefront eatery are well worth the trip and expense. Chief Chocolate Officer (who wouldn't want that as a job title?) John Down oversees the on-site creation of exquisite, haute-couture chocolates. Delectables range from the signature Domino Box (bittersweet domino pieces swirling with caramel centers) to tea-infused truffles (lapsang souchong, green, rose and mango) and easy-to-transport chocolate bars. Coffee and espresso service complements the desserts, but everyone's clear what the main attraction is. Afterhours tastings menus (free of charge) are often offered.
