Located just off the lobby of the Washington Square Hote, this cozy New American restaurant and lounge is graced with wall art work that might not be all that appetizing (fine, it's weird), but the food is inventive and appealing. A chopped salad for example, is comprised of a whole lot more than just baby tomatoes and greens, as it also invites fresh beans, enoki mushrooms, cress and quail eggs. A solid choice for breakfast, and lunch, this village spot is especialy ideal between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. when $12 gets you half a dozen Malpeque oysters and an apple martini.
