Crumbs has set the bar high for cupcakes. Aficionados consider it on par with Magnolia's, which may sound like blasphemy, but the kudos are certainly well deserved. The treats here are larger and more decadently frosted, topped with everything from M&M's to Oreos. And although the buttercream frosting can be overwhelming, it's a fine exercise in learning how to pace yourself. These cupcakes aren't an after-dinner treat; they are the meal.
