Dos Toros, the popular Cal-Mex joint just off Union Square, now has its own numero dos: a second location. This one's on Carmine Street in the West Village, and the menu is a virtual redo of the first one: Delicious carnitas, carne asada and pollo asado, available as tacos, quesadillas and plattersall for under eight bucks. There are some nifty new things, though: This location has its own braising pan (for their carnitas, which can be caramelized), and they also have vegetarian-friendly rice here (unlike the rice at the first location, whose rice is made with chicken stock, although you can also get that here). Dos Toros dos is also bigger than the East Village location, with a gorgeous picture window allowing you to gorge on people-watching while gorging on that yummy carnitas taco.
