Two British expats are behind this modern American restaurant located in a former bank on the Upper East Side, and no doubt they're hoping their refined dishes register a big ka-ching! with diners. Surf like grilled Dover sole and curry-laden roasted cod mix it up with turf like veal cheeks and lamb chops. Specialty pastas are in the works, and although they're dinner-only for now, in about two weeks they'll start serving lunch that features a $25, two-course prix fixe, or a $30, three-course one. The restaurant itself subtly reflects its owners' backgrounds: the place's name was inspired by lyrics from a Beatles song, while the bathroom's zebra prints recall the wildlife of South Africa, where one of owners lived.
