The trendy and homey West Village pub (named after the Irish co-owners' Belfast grandparents) serves hearty British and Irish grub like meat pies, Scotch eggs and a corned-beef-and-gruyere sandwichmuch of which is locally sourced and surprisingly gourmet-leaningalongside 10 local beers on tap, four red and for white wines, and specialty cocktails like the Whiskey Tea (made with bourbon, ginger honey and tea) until the wee hours. The vibe is more thoughtfully rustic than rough-around-the-edges, with dimpled leather booth-backs, exposed brick and low, romantic lighting. Lovely spot for a pint, although it can get crowded.
