Description:

Named after a type of coffee bean that grows wild across Rwanda (sorry, boozehounds), this new caf on a busy West Village intersection hopes to bring the flavors of African coffee to harried New Yorkers. The menu focuses on five different varietals of crop-to-cup Rwandan-grown beans ($1.85-$2.25), plus pastries baked in-house, like a bourbon-laced coffee cake ($2.20). Plans are underway to bring in sandwiches and salads, which can be taken in the 60-seat caf area decorated with paintings from Rwandan artists.
