After 11 years, this Italian spot has reopened at its original location in the West Village, serving up a dishes both new and old. The menu itself was fine-tuned with the help of old customers, who during renovations would poke their heads through the door and request their favorite Mappamondo specialties: polpettine di verdure, spinach flan, pappardelle porcinelle. A global design theme waves through the space, which is decked out with a large fresco vintage map and vintage globes, along with world-themed items like teapots, cookie jars and bookends.
