Description:
Spanish for scuba, Buceo is an Upper West Side tapas and wine bar that focuses as much on the Spanish small plates as it does on vino from the Mediterranean region. Friendly and sophisticated with high marble-topped tables and bottles lining the walls, the little space gets much bigger when the large street-facing windows open up in warmer months. Order half a dozen or so tapas (if you're a couple) from the menu, by David Ruiz, such as baby octopus, veal albondigas and cheese and mushroom plates. There are also a couple of vegetarian options, including the vegan beet ravioli (a nice surprise), as well as some good Greek, Italian and Spanish wine by the quartino or bottle.
