Whenever we'd visit the East Village location of this terrific little lobster shack, we always asked the same thing: "When are you finally gonna hit the Upper West Side?!" Amen! Luke Holden, the twentysomething former Maine lobsterman who runs the joint, has finally brought his pinchers to Amsterdam Avenue, where he serves up fresh-from-the-ocean Jonah crab claws, shrimp rolls and chowders. (He's also got a location on the Upper East Side.) Ah, then there's his popular lobster roll: a heaping beauty with 4 ounces of freshly shelled, lightly seasoned and gorgeously pink Maine lobster meat (delivered directly to New York by Portland Shellfish company) and crammed into an oh-so-lightly mayonnaised bun. (Smaller 2-ounce minis are also available.) Like its two other brethren, expect the dcor to include authentic, Maine-sourced seafaring accents and a laid-back vibe.
