Description:
Housed at the famous Carlyle Hotel, this legendary cabaret joint has seen some of the great entertainers like Sammy Davis, Jr. pass though, and many still come to see shows put on by as eclectic acts like Woody Allen and his jazz ensemble. The place is like taking a trip back through the times of prohibition (except they serve alcohol there) when people got all dressed up for dinner and a show. The murals on the wall were done by French artist Marcel Vertes, the Oscar-winning art director of the 1952 'Moulin Rouge.' This is not a cheap evening by the way; be ready to drop a couple hundred bucks if you're eating dinner. You can also just pay the cover and watch the show from the bar.
