Description:
Belgian brews may have had their trendy heyday a few years ago, but that doesn't mean that they've gotten any less delicious (or staggeringly powerful)and they're what's on tap at BXL East, the bigger cross-town sister of Belgian neighborhood standby BXL Caf. Inside the modestly tailored and red-walled space, the focus is the beer, from the 14 on tap (like Leffe Blonde and Gulden Draak) to the 35 in bottles (from $7-$12, like La Chouffe and Corsendonk, which is as fun to drink as it is to say). The menu is much the same as it is across town, offering hearty treats like moules frites ($20), roasted salmon with beurre blanc sauce and Belgian meatballs, with a few additional options. And, also unlike at the original, they're serving wine30 varieties of it.
