Originally opened in 1962, this classic Hells Kitchen diner fed shady gangsters, cabbies and clubbers until its 2006 shuttering. Luckily, the Market was resuscitated earlier this year, with a modernized look, all-night hoursand throwback diner grub, including cheese-slathered disco fries. Completing the revival, the owners just installed sidewalk seating, letting you eat over-easy eggs beneath bright-blue skies. While the encyclopedic diner menu offers a smattering of deep-fried and griddle-crisped delights, we prefer to sate our yee-ha hunger with the $7.75 cowboy burger. A fat beef patty is crowned with golden onion rings, bacon slabs, jack cheese and, in a deliciously over-the-top maneuver, ranch dressing.
