If it ain't broke, then don't move it. That shoulda been the mantra for nomadic bistro Steak Frites, which ditched its Union Square digs for Tribeca last year, only to hightail it back to Union Square. (The carnage: doomed space-fillers Caf Society and Union Prime. R.I.P.) Need we even ask why? OK, we will. "There was not a single day that we did not have at least 20 or 30 people saying how much they were sorry that Steak Frites was not here," says a manager. (We also suspect that Union Prime's recession-averse prices weren't helping matters any.) You can stop pestering them now and dig into those angus burgers andbut of course!steak frites.
