Description:
With the swiftness of a pirate (but in full cooperation with Admiralty law) chef Eric Hara has salvaged Agua Dulce, the property next to his recently opened 9 Restaurant, and turned it into a fish shack. Well, not exactly a shack. It's serious in a casual setting, he says. We softened the room up and redid the walls with antique wood taken from a bar in Canada. But we're serious about the food. That means all manner of sea critter and styles of preparation, including raw/cold/hot/grilled apps, seafood soups like Ciopino, a Chicago-style lobster dog, and fishless desserts dubbed happy endings. Beverages, meanwhile, are a collection beers and wines from coastal towns plus a cocktail list that will fulfill your longing for vodka and house-made seaweed brine sharing a glass. Aye, this sure beats the ship's mess hall.
