The hodge-podge dcor of this Lower East Side restaurant really stands out, if only because you'll be asking yourself why those golden shoes are hanging from a wire in the ceiling? Honestly, who cares! If the shoes are too distracting, then why not focus on the upside-down jungle gym that is also dangling from above. The room was designed by Steve Lewis, who has a lot of experience turning small spaces in to happening hot spots, so you're certainly in good hands. The eclectic menu contains interesting dishes that seem geared more toward clubgoers than serious diners, but you certainly won't complain when you enjoy dishes like spiced foie gras with an artichoke salad or lobster stew with herb gnocci and morel mushrooms. Have a few bites, and the go dance it up somewhere nearby.
