Description:
The folks behind a restaurant in Portland's trendy Ace Hotel are bringing a piece of PDX to the East Villageand yes, they've brought the fancy cocktail ice with them. They've also brought some barrels, so if you want to taste a cocktail that's been aged in oak for a few months, this place is for you. The dcor is simple and rusticthink white tiles on the walls and dark wooden chairs that can be taken from pretty much any downtown restaurant. To pair with the specialty cocktails, check out grub options that are heavy on the fresh produce. Golden beets are served with greek yogurt, shaved vegetables and orange, while radicchio comes with faro, bacon and blue cheese. If you can't figure out what goes with what, the restaurant has a helpful selection of pairing boards, which does the thinking for you. Lamb neck with a rye cocktail? Yes, please.
