West 23rd Street is a strange restaurant no-man's land. With few exceptions, chain restaurants and casual takeout spots dominate the landscape. Terri doesn't diverge far from that trend, but it does offer a twist: an all-vegan menu catering to the meatless-meat crowd. Geared toward takeout and deliverya couple of counter stools allow for a no-frills dine-in optionexpect salads, smoothies and a juice bar. What sets this apart from your average lunch spot, though, are creative sandwiches like the Thanksgiving (tofurkey, cranberry sauce, veganaise, celery and crushed walnuts) and the Fat Elvis (peanut butter, caramelized banana and soy bacon). What the vicinity lacks in notable sit-down eateries it makes up for in health clubs, so maybe this guilt free spot will strike the right chord with gym rats looking to grab a quick post-workout meal.
