The downtown outpost of this Thai restaurant is known as the "garden" of Rhong Tiamit took over Michael Bao's former Bia Garden and has an outdoor space in the back where you can enjoy a selection of moderately priced dishes ranging from satays to the Thai version of general tso's chicken. If you want something a little more unique, hit the selection of Thai tacos, which range from coconut-lemongrass chicken to basil pork. The price is a little more than you'd spend at the cheap-o Thai shops in the hood, and you'll find that most of the entrees are available for $14. But, this Rhong's reputation is deserved: The place is better than that no-name joints that may cost a few dollars less. Especially because the menu options are so varied; you won't find a solid duck noodle soup at those spots, that's for sure.
